Copyright Information

Dear Readers,

You may have noticed I have started to put a copyright blurb at the bottom of each of my posts. A few of you have republished photographs or recipes from Avenue Food on occasion, and I want you to know that this change is not in reaction to you. I love to see my stuff on other sites, as long as it is clearly credited and linked back to me.

The copyright notice is in response to a particularly nasty splog site that I’ve discovered has been stealing all of my content—as well as the content of other food blogs—through the RSS feed, publishing it as its own. As my efforts to contact the host and get the offender shut down have been unsuccessful, this is my way of letting the site's readers know they are looking at stolen material.

So if you’d like to use (properly attributed) material from Avenue Food, it's not a problem. Provided you don’t have shady, profiteering motives (i.e. you’re not running a splog), I’m generally thrilled to share. For more information, click on the Creative Commons button on my sidebar.

Thanks! Sarah

Good! However, even this post appears at Recipes at Cooking. Isn´t this person human? I don´t feel like blogging anything today.

Some strange things are going on here. There are no Ads visible, but there is an AdSense code put into this blogger´s source.

-- pub-6663458480367341-- Behind these numbers there is a name. There is an address. Google has it. I have sent an e-mail to the AdSense people about it.

Hi Karin--The feeds are picked up automatically, but hopefully if someone does see we've included a copyright notice, maybe they'll remove those feeds . . . on the other hand, maybe they don't care. But regardless, keep blogging! Don't let these bad people get you down!
