Creamy Keto Hazelnut Tart With Chocolate Drizzle

Hazelnut and chocolate is a combination I will never get tired of, and this tart puts them front and center. A toasted hazelnut and almond flour crust holds a smooth hazelnut cream, finished with a drizzle of sugar-free chocolate across the top. It tastes like a grown-up candy bar.

Delicious Keto Hazelnut Tart Recipe

A creamy Keto Hazelnut Tart with chocolate drizzle, garnished with crushed hazelnuts, on a rustic wooden table.

This tart features a buttery crust made from hazelnuts and almond flour, filled with a velvety hazelnut cream. It’s a simple and elegant dessert that takes about 50 minutes to prepare and serves 8 people.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hazelnut flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup erythritol or other keto sweetener
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened hazelnut spread (sugar-free if possible)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar-free dark chocolate chips for drizzling
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Make the Crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine hazelnut flour, almond flour, erythritol, melted butter, egg, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. Form the Tart Shell: Press the dough into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan. Prick the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling. Bake for 12-15 minutes until slightly golden. Allow to cool.
  3. Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, whisk together heavy cream, hazelnut spread, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
  4. Fill the Tart: Pour the hazelnut filling into the cooled tart crust, smoothing the top with a spatula. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
  5. Drizzle Chocolate: Melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler. Once melted, drizzle over the chilled tart before slicing.
  6. Serve: Slice the tart and serve chilled. Optional: Garnish with crushed hazelnuts or whipped cream.

Toast and rub the skins off the hazelnuts before grinding, since the skins turn everything bitter. Let the chocolate drizzle set before slicing so it does not smear. This one feels dinner-party worthy, but it comes together more easily than it looks.
